EA Sports PGA Tour several golfers removed in latest update

Yeah, I've noticed that from the beginning - for whatever reason, some pros aren't useable at some courses. It's absolutely non-sensical and silly in every way.

It seems like any PGA-sponsored event, the LIV guys can't be used. Augusta being a private invitational non-PGA event, I guess you can use anyone.

My enthusiasm for using the real pros is pretty limited, though, because they don't swing the club like they do in real life. I mean, using Scottie Scheffler is pretty boring if he doesn't have his crazy happy-feet swing, or Xander's calm-transition-into-explosive turn-through swing, or Brooks' mighty "smack", etc. etc. I like using real pros but only if they have their actual swings; otherwise it's just a bad skin on a generic golfer.

The PGA Tour operates the TPC network of courses, so it would make sense that they'd not want LIV players used at those courses...although it seems you can use them at one random one?

And East Lake is home of the Tour Championship, so that kinda makes sense, too.

The main reason this sucks (and how I noticed it) is because playing with Pro golfers is necessary if you want to do local multiplayer.

The other reason this sucks is because there are simply fewer AI partners available for career mode tournaments, resulting in you getting paired with the same golfers again and again, who are further and further away from your score.

I'm kinda tired of getting paired with Tony Finau on Sundays when I'm six strokes ahead of him :/

A bit of the reflection of the utter nonsense that is professional sports these days. Leaves a bad taste in a lot of fans' mouths. Just can't wait until they start incorporating the betting odds in a sports vid game like they're doing with actual pro sports now. I just can't wait.

Let's be honest, we're lucky the LIV golfers are still in the game. It is a PGA Tour video game. We don't get players staying in MLB the Show when guys leave for overseas.

Point taken, but clearly these likeness deals were cut before anyone left for LIV, otherwise none of those guys would be in a PGA Tour branded game (to your point).

Why isn't Rory in the game ,he used to be the cover guy and the game was named after him

Guessing Rory had enough of video games after how EA handled the game with his name and face on it. He hasn't been in a PGA Tour game since - his name doesn't even show up on career mode leaderboards.
