Players won't develop without the proper training schedules. If you are still using "general" training for your players, this thread will help you out a ton.

Get Tug's Training 2010 It works for me. Make sure you also have good staff and check out the new staff thread for those...

I use Tug's also, but I modify a few of the positions to better suite some specific players on my squad.

His FB training is great & all, but I modify it a bit for more wing back type players in my squad (Bale & Hutton). Results haven't been great yet, but I'm only near the end of Sept in my save.

ughh training is the one part of the game I just can't be bothered with. I generally download a training schedule as well, set it up when I begin my career, and never change it.

Me as well. My players young and old do well with Tug's although Pedro is unhappy with the high workload Lazy bum....

Anyway, SI could make training a little more fun next year.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Training Thread***

Been doing some reading while downloading add-ons and thought I would share this tip re: Tugs training. Apparently he has keepers training defense and shooting for concentration and composure but patch 10.2 added these to the goalkeeper training so it's no longer necessary. Not sure if this was common knowledge or not.

Damn, that's good to know. I guess I can lessen the workload on my Keepers now.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Training Thread***

I really like setting my own training. I just set it so what that position needs they get a lot of training for. I have found out not to do any heavy because too many injuries occur. I usually have a basic set for all my positions then add a few for my young players that don't play as much. It is all about the staff though I clean house and try to bring in as many quality coaches as possible. Regen coaches usually aren't as good so I always try for a veteran staff
