Re: Restoring America's Team: A Dallas Cowboys Story

Dallas came into this match up winning 6 of the pervious match ups.

Start of the game the defense looked strong getting to Herbert 3 times in the first half. Kicker Greg Zuerlein would miss an extra point in the 1st quarter. He also missed what now looks to be a very important FG in the 3rd quarter. That plus some key mistakes of McCarthy going for it on 4th down and not converting cost Dallas this game.

Next up Dallas heads home to take on division rivals the Eagles.

Week 2 NFC/AFC air and ground players of the week:

Standings after Week 2:

Biggest surprise to the season has to be the start Green Bay has gotten off to. Losing to the likes of the saints and the lions. Can they bounce back? Bengals led by Joe Burrow have came to play the first two weeks. Will they be able to stay red hot?

Re: Restoring America's Team: A Dallas Cowboys Story

Week 3 match up preview:

The eagles head to Dallas to renew the NFC east rivalry. This will be a key match up for the cowboys to get back on track after starting the season 1-1. Can the injury prone cowboys pull off a victory at home? Will more injuries to the defense potentially derail the cowboys season? Hope to have all these answers and more following this week 3 match up.

Dallas will look to take advantage of a struggling Eagles defense. Looks to be a great primetime game.

Re: Restoring America's Team: A Dallas Cowboys Story

DAL vs PHI Recap:

We had an instant classic in stored for this Monday night prime time game. The first quarter saw the Dallas defense stand tall and only allow 3 points. Dallas would then drive down field all the way to the end zone. This would be all for not as Dak would throw his first pick of the year.

The Eagles would capitalize on this driving back down field and scoring a touchdown going up 10-0 just 3 minutes before halftime. Dak would lead this offense back down field and just seconds before halftime score a much needed TD tightening things up to 10-7.

Dallas would receive the ball after half and have a very long 8 minute drive that resulted in a field goal kick tying things up at 10 all. The score would stay tight as both team manage another field goal apiece bring the score to 13 all late in the 4th. Jalen Hurts would use his legs to keep a drive alive and end up hitting Smith for a TD. With two minutes to go and only 1 timeout left Dak looked to rally the troops. Prescott was looking sharp shredding the Eagles defense threw the air and getting to the red zone with 30 seconds to go they took their final timeout. Dak would drop back from the 10 yard line and hit CeeDee Lamb in the back of the endzone for a TD.

Dallas would decide to go for 2 as Dak threw a rifle to Gallup for the game winner going up 21-20 with 15 seconds left. The defense would shut down any hail mary attempt and Dallas rides it to victory improving to 2-1 on the season.

Next up Carolina at home

NFC/AFC Air and Ground Players of the Week:

Standings through Week 3:

Biggest surprise through three weeks has to be both the Jaguars and Giants undefeated. Also the Rams and Packers starting off 1-2. One thing is certain and that anything can happen in the NFL!

Re: Restoring America's Team: A Dallas Cowboys Story

Week 4 Preview:

Dallas will look to stop the number 1 scoring offense in the league. As the Cowboys host the Panthers. The Dallas defense which has been hurt with multiple injuries will look to stay on top at stopping the rush. Their secondary is still a threat to get burnt, but has looked a lot better week over week. The biggest question is when will this Dallas offense which was poised at the beginning of the season scouted to be the best in the league take off and shine?

Dallas is looking to improve to 3-1 while the Panthers hope to stay undefeated!
