RAM GRIT: A Colorado State Rams Dynasty (NCAA 14)

A few weeks ago, I took a trip up to Colorado and visited Fort Collins. I explored the CSU campus and loved what I saw, including the Stadium (unfortunately not in the game). I got home and started messing around with some of the tools available on the Revamped discord and have finally decided to fire up a dynasty!

The long-term goal with CSU will be to move into a Power Conference alongside CU. I'll post the updated conference realignments with my logic on the next post. I hope you enjoy following along.

Here's a look at the way conferences are aligned. I went this route for a few reasons that I'll explain here. First, every time I tried to load up the power conferences with 16 teams I'd end up with a G5 conference that had 5-7 teams in it. Those teams would schedule a ton of FCS games then go 12-0 and be ranked #1. With the way I have this setup, I accomplish a few things.

1. I believe this is a generally realistic look at how things could end up if the ACC ends up folding.

2. Every conference plays 9 conference games with this setup.

3. The 3 power conferences do not have conference championship games, but I use the poll editor to create the first round of the playoffs as conference championship games.

4. I have noticed a large amount of teams scheduling rivalry games out of conference. So while 9 "Power" games are the minimum, many of the teams are playing at least 10.

I feel this is the best way to accomplish what I want to accomplish given the constraints of the game.

The Colorado State Rams have released their first depth chart of the season. The quarterback battle was won by redshirt freshman Brayden Fowler-Nicolsi. True freshman Damian Henderson will see carries this year as the second running back. The Rams will feature just 1 senior on the offensive line. The guards will be the weak spot with two sophomores starting. Junior tight end Dallin Holker is one of the best in the country and will feature a large role in this offense.

The Rams will be relatively young on defense this year with just 3 seniors earning starting roles. The defensive line is anchored by redshirt senior Mohamed Kamara who is a preseason All-MWC selection. True freshman Kennedy McDowell will start on the opposite side. The linebacking corps features two juniors and a true freshman, Drew Rodriguez. On the back end the Rams will be led by junior free safety Jack Howell.
