Re: Mandalorian

I know this will probably be an extremely unpopular opinion but I'm starting to lose interest in this show. Every episode feels like it's own where very little seems to tie the episodes together. Tonight's had one of the biggest plot holes, for lack of a better term, since I started watching it. Everything just seems fragmented and disconnected from one week to the next and it's starting to grate on me.

No I feel the same way. It's felt very disconnected . Although I really enjoyed this episode for what it was. The last two before it really bored me.

It's a good show. Just not what I thought.

I enjoyed the early episodes but the moment he went to seek refuge on that planet it feels like every episode has been it's own separate entry and nothing has meshed together. I know they're probably attempting to introduce characters into the mix but it feels like there has to be a better way to tie everything together while doing it.

Spoiler

Re: Mandalorian

I said to myself after episode 2 this is either going to have to start going somewhere fast or its just not going anywhere. I don't know how I feel about it yet. People keep comparing it to serial westerns (which I have no experience with) or I'll see people comparing it to Xena or Hercules or Firefly, shows that had an hour runtime and twice (Firefly) or 3 times (Hercules and Xena) the number of episodes. It's crazy to me. If those shows were as meandering as this one and only had a 5 hour runtime for the season I would think they'd get ripped too, but eh. It's not the show I was hoping for, it's not terrible. Its starting to fit right into that Solo spot of just being unnecessary to me.

I agree with this entirely. It feels like they're in a holding pattern.

That or I missed the point of the show, and it's more of an adventure of the week kind of thing going forward.
