Wow, this was great. Johnny was so hilarious and damn man some of those flashbacks with Mr. Miyagi got to me.

Seriously the script was pretty darn good, totally surprised how it turned out.

The last scene was epic too. I cannot wait for season 2!

Life goals also to get Daniel sons home dojo. Great scene with it too.

If you were even the smallest fan of Karate Kid, this is a must watch.

Season 2 gets released in a few hours, the 24th, hopefully. IIRC, John Kreise and Terry Silva are in this season. I have to get youtube premium again.

2 min trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VaXoQJx3jYs

You can see the first 2 episodes from Season 1 free on youtube.
Update: Binged the season. Really liked it, just not as much as S1. This was more focused on the kids. No Terry Silva or Mike Barnes from KK III though. Hoping they show up in S3.

It is a shame this great series is hidden on youtube. If it were a Netflix, Amazon, or premium channel series it would be lauded.

Season 2 did not disappoint. Such a great premise and has me wondering if this is the beginning of new genre/style of programming; that is, changing the POV from a past movie and turn it into a series. Regardless, it could be a whole new source for ideas.

Absolutely, the new POV but multiple perspectives make you want to shout, "Just sit down and talk more!" Johnny and Danny have had great conversations but allow their 16 year old minds to take over.

Fun fact, did you know Ralph Macchio now is 5 years older than Pat Morita was when Karate Kid was made?

I didn't know that. I'm curious to see who from the movies come back in season 3. Really hoping the tease at the end of S2 actually happens.

What 80's kid wasn't gaga over
Spoiler
; she'd be a great addition. So much to add in this show to keep it going at least 5, I hope.
