It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

ESPN Cleaning House

Chad Ford and Mark Stein also out. Ford is done in 60 days after NBA draft is over.

Did I say anything about him playing football? He had sources within the league and always had valuable information on the Cowboys and other teams he was covering.

Edit: This is in response to Jake. It grabbed my quote instead of his for some reason.

You specifically pointed out that it LOOKS like Windhorst has never played basketball a day in his life, then brought up Ed Werder.

Thus, someone responded with Ed Werder never playing football. You based Windhorst's abilitly to do his job on his appearance and not Werder.

Re: ESPN Cleaning House

I find it interesting how personal a lot of people have made this. You can say a lot about yourself without even meaning to.

I'm never happy to see people lose their jobs, especially in a situation such as this. I'm just glad that many of the people I do enjoy watching/listening to made the cut. Repairing the network isn't an unfixable problem, but I don't think the higher ups have a grasp on what sports fans want to see. It's going to be interesting to see what the network becomes in the next few years.

Re: ESPN Cleaning House

A lot of people have been cracking on NFL Network, while I praised it. When I said what I did, I was thinking that NFL Network had NFL RedZone. Then I re-realized that RedZone is its own thing completely, not attached with NFL Network.

So I take back what I said. Yeah, programming on NFL Network is mostly lousy. I do turn it on to GMFB in the morning though when I already have seen all the MLB highlights.

The one thing I will praise NFL Network for though is they didn't give Aaron Hernandez a lick of publicity after he killed himself. They thought it was a non-football story and that the draft was more important; they were correct on both accounts. ESPN on the other hand ate that up.
