No time to share screenshots tonight, but I'm fairly happy with a few possession based formations/tactics for the AI. Both a 4-3-3 and a 4-2-3-1.

Kreb, if anything just do the 5-second change. The other stuff is just extra/personal preference.

I am not sure testing can be done using exhibition matches.

Last two nights I have played matches between team editing.

As more matches are played during a session I am feeling the AI adapt without touching any settings.

Will use last night as an example. All 4 matches on pro

Match 1 perugia at bari (ai) I won 3-0 and they had 2 shots to my 14

Match 2 rangers at celtic (ai) I won 2-1, their 4 shots to my 10

Match 3 leicester at chelsea (ai) I lost 1-0 and was outshot 5-1 1st half, evened out the shots a bit and it ended 8 shots to my 7

Match 4 estoril at maritimo (ai) I lost 2-0 and was outshot 9-5. This match the cpu was aggro, actually knocking my players off the ball. I even missed a header in front of goal because the AI defender body checked my player which moved him enough I could not head it on frame.

After my trouncing of bari I thought I needed to up the difficulty but the game adjusted on it's own.

I wish we could turn on AI adapting messages. Some sort of notification that the cpu is shifting the AI.

Not sure if this will belong here or not, but I made a video last night in regards to the 5-second fix and what dmendenhall had sent me. I used a portion of his recommendation - mainly to keep it real simple for those that do not want to change every team, and just want to jump in to a competition/ML.

The nice thing is the CPU tends to adapt to my positioning, so the overall shape is still adequate. I know everyone here is striving to edit every team and go from there, so I can't wait to see how that goes of course.

So to edit CPU teams fluid formation, you do so in the Edit section?

Does this carry over to ML?

If you already started your ML, then no. Cosmetic edits will carry over, but not tactical ones. You'd need to start over.

Honestly, I wouldn't sweat it too much since so many things influence ML games that it may or may not be a waste of time to fiddle too much under the hood with any team but the one you want to use.

BL8001, that is interesting. Let me add this concerning exhibition as I have only been playing in that mode for my testing on Top Player. My past two games were total opposites as I destroyed Stoke 4-0 and had the most shots in a game yet around 27. I then play a 2nd game and only had 3 shots at the half and only 9 total at the end. I feel sometimes I am getting too good for the level, but then I get humbled for a few games and feel like I am terrible. Nothing feels cheated though, so I am actually good with it, but interesting.

Yeah Paper, the more I see this in my play sessions the more I feel this adaptive AI is real.

I think to test the adaptive AI alone you would need to play the exact same matchup 4 or 5 times in a row.

I am getting some variables switching teams, but saying that, I do tend to match teams up based on team ratings. Maritimo and estoril were very even as were the other matchups.

But this was two nights in a row where I clearly felt the difficulty ramp up without changing the actual difficulty.
