CPU vs CPU in Franchise

Fancy trying something different this year and just experimenting with HL23 on PS5----Want to try and make a Manager game of it--starting Franchise in ECHL, make my trades, edit my lines and go CPU vs CPU and "watch" the action....
Anyone ever tried this method, and if so, any tips...Thank you !

this is the way i play franchise mode. i watch 40-50% of the games cpu vs cpu (pre season and playoffs included) and calendar sim the rest.
it's great if you find the right sliders settings, BUT since nhl23 you can't override you coaches STRATEGIES anymore (you can, but you have to do it before entering EVERY GAME, they automatically revert to your coaches preferences once you finish the match) so it's a bummer.



this was a game breaker for me last year as i was forced to reset all MY prefered strategies wasting so much time, and stopped playig the game at all after a few months.

I just purchased the nhl 24 game have already gotten into franchise mode, it’s been a long time since I’ve owned a hockey game so I’m kind of disappointed that I can’t watch the different games like I do on madden, mlb the show, and nba 2k. Hope they can fix this sometime in the near future.
