In a word: ALL MANUAL.

Okay, that's two words, but seriously. Do NOT play with any assistance this year. It's broken and it's awful.

I just played three consecutive matches with v2 in the OP and All Manual led to the most goals I've seen in several days. The CPU will get theirs, it's always been that way with FIFA. The tendency I've noticed is that until or unless I score goals, the CPU and adaptive code will often be content with 0-0 or 1-0 affairs, and often quite terribly the one goal comes from a dubious penalty.

Why do you think assistance is broken?

I used to be full manual, but personally I've grown to hate manual! But that's just 'cause I'm not great at it, and I don't like it being the limiting factor in my quality of play. And I like Normal gamespeed.

But I'm curious why you think it's broke?

mfp - I specifically think manual shooting is best. With regards to passing, semi is fine but I prefer manual.

Well you're a better player than me. Messed around with manual tonight and struggled to create chances on Pro.

So is it just preference for you or do you really think somethings broken with the assisted settings. Personally I much prefer assisted these days. There's just too much going on now in the game, and I already suck enough against the CPU!

But I have been curious about manual shooting 'cause assisted shooting seems to provide little benefit. (On the other hand, I DID miss several sitters playing manual tonight.)

I definitely only think that shooting is broken. I've even tried Assisted shooting and seen countless shots hit straight at the keeper or the woodwork. Switching to manual has been huge for me.

Semi-assisted passing is fine though, so is assisted. I don't think that changes the outcomes of these sliders, it's really about individual ability/preferences.
