I can confirm to you 100% it HASN'T been fixed. I just test it myself and my game crashed on PS5

At the moment it's unplayable:

- The long knock on is over powered (both for human and CPU). The speed burst is totally unrealistic - both in terms of speed and animation. Sliders can't seem to fix this.

- Lack of variety. The CPU attacks in the same exact way - every time. Pass to someone on the pitch line and then they will either shoot on goal (from an ultra tight angle) or cut back to someone in the centre.

- AI defenders on your team do not track back or mark. They are like zombies, standing there and observing. They'd be more useful playing backgammon...

- Animations are still jerky. It just doesn't flow. EA, take a hint from your sister product NHL - animations are so much more fluid.

- This does not resemble football in any shape or form.

Prepare yourselves for bug central. I'm likely holding off for a patch. Unless there was a day 1 patch?

Captured my sentiments exactly. One of the worst football games I've ever played and I'm not exaggerating. This is downright awful

Probably doesn’t help that the majority of teams utilize kick and rush.

Played 2 kickoff games and I thought it played better than the last few years.
Good competitive games with some slider adjustments.

Started a manager career and now the AI gets to every ball, has some kind of speed burst that they didn't have in the kickoff games and I can barely get a shot on goal.

My defence in the kickoff games using teammate pressure seemed to work well, but now either the button is bugged or my AI is bugged but they kind of float alongside and don't put any pressure on the cpu AI.
I'm hoping with some major adjustments to sliders or maybe patches it will be better but I know it won't be as good as the kickoff games felt so right now it's just not fun to play.

How on earth could this happen? It’s been in there for the last three iterations of this game! Can anyone confirm if the day one patch has fixed this?

Seriously….how hard is it to increase the size of the bench?

The EPL, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, and a few other across Europe use 9

La Liga, Serie A, and the Eredivisie use 12

But we’ve stuck with 7 for a few years now
