Well, I was a radio operator for 3rd Battalion/10 Marines in Desert Storm (155mm Howitzer Unit at that time), so I know what you mean.

Thanks for your service!

I get a small disability check but I'd gladly trade that to get rid of the ringing. Thanks for your service also.

Re: EA Sports College Football Facing Licensing Issues

Didn't want to make a new thread for this, but related to licensing...

Are there licensing opportunities for retro teams? I'm not sure if any alumni association exists that EA could theoretically make a deal with to pay alumni and include historic teams with accurate rosters on. I know that's way oversimplifying, but is there any sort of path or reality to that as a possibility?

I'd say highly unlikely. Ed O'Bannon.

Sure. I guess I was thinking more along the lines of how NBA 2k does their historic teams.

So many college teams over the years that would be a blast to play with. Especially not having the game for a full decade and thinking of some of those teams we missed out on.

Way more players than NBA, I get that, but I’m just dreaming for a moment…

I haven't read this thread, but I couldn't care LESS whether real player names are in this game or not.

No one cares about real players. After a few years of dynasty mode they are all gone. We want school traditions and what makes college football great. It's traditions and pageantry. Not the names of current players.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.
