SG: Ben Gordon

PF: Tyrus Thomas
C: Ben Wallace

Philadelphia
PG: Andre Miller
SG: Willie Green
SF: Andre Igudala
PF: Steven Hunter
C: Samuel Dalembert

Preview.
Chicago is comming off a thrilling win in New Jersey just a few days ago, so their emotions shouldn't be in question for this game - they are excited and want to prove they can get up for the lesser teams, and if they don't we all know Skiles will get them pumped. Chicago should be able to just ride on their defense for this one, since 76'ers have very few options on offense, unless Iguodala gets hot this one will be over by half time. The only way Philadelphia can stay in this one is if their defense can step it up and stop Luol Deng and Ben Gordon, while not forgetting about Hinrich who is just comming off an impressive 4th quarter.

Results. Bulls 109, 76'ers 99.
Right after the tip, Willie Green decided he wanted to be Kobe Bryant for a half. He gets the ball in the corner and drills a 3 pointer. Only 8 seconds had ticked off the clock. Chicago comes back with a Luol Deng jumper. Willie Green again hits a 3 pointer, and surprisingly it seems to almost deflate Chicago's defense as Willie goes on to hit 6 more shots in the first, bringing his first quarter total to 18. Second quarter was much of the same with Green running the show for the 6'ers, finishing the first half with 25. We know Skiles had to have said something to his boys in the locker room, beause they came out playing like changed men. Hinrich got switched up to play Green and held him to only 3 points the second half. While Green got shut down in the second half, Iguodala sure didn't, he tourched Ben Gordon and had 14 second half points. Luol Deng had kept Chicago in the game during the first half, but Hinrich and Thomas led Chicago to victory. Hinrich shot an impressive 8-11 from the field, including 3-3 from long range and knocked down all 5 of his free throws. While it wasn't the showing we expected from the Bulls, the result is still the same, adding a second "W" to the win column. The Bucks will host Chicago tomorrow night, winner will take early control of the Central Division.

Notebles.
-Chicago
Luol Deng, 21 pts, 12 reb, 3 ast, 1 stl
Kirk Hinrich, 24 pts, 1 reb, 9 ast, 1 stl, 1 blk, 5 to
Tyrus Thomas, 17 pts, 8 reb, 1 stl, 1 blk

-Philadelphia
Willie Green, 28 pts, 2 ast, 3 stl
Andre Iguodala, 20 pts, 5 reb, 6 ast, 1 stl, 4 to
Samuel Dalembert, 13 pts, 4 reb, 2 ast, 1 stl, 2 blk

Chicago @ Milwaukee

Starting Lineups.
-Chicago
PG: Kirk Hinrich
SG: Ben Gordon
SF: Luol Deng
PF: Tyrus Thomas
C: Ben Wallace

-Milwaukee
PG: Mo Williams
SG: Michael Redd
SF: Bobby Simmions
PF: Charlie Villanueva
C: Andrew Bogut

Preview.
Chicago and Milwaukee both look to take early control over the Central Division in the East, both are 2-0 and are share the Central lead. Chicago holds the upper hand defensivly, but Milwaukee's Redd, who is a lot like a taller version of Ben Gordon, can put up points with the best of them, and the Bucks will need his presence to be felt in this one to come away with the win. We haven't seen much out of Ben Gordon this season, so it's just a matter of time before he goes off for 30 or more. It should be a tough game for both teams, but only one will come out on top.

Results. Chicago 105, Milwaukee 113.
Chicago played their best basketball in the first half, holding the Bucks to 9 points in the first quarter, then 31 at half time. From the looks on the faces of the Bulls players it looked as if they thought they had already won, but were also tired from the great defense they played. It showed in the third when they put up 40, led by Redd who hit 2 straight 3 pointers about midway through the 3rd quarter to bring the game within 9. The Bucks kept working and finally pulled even with Chicago with about 5 minutes left in the game, then Chicago fell completly apart and didn't score in the last 4 minutes of the game, until Ben Gordon drained a pointless buzzer beating 3 pointer. The main reason Chicago lost tonight is because they had one of their god awful shooting droughts, these are the nights they need a big man, also the fact that Chicago's bench didn't play as well as they could, Nocioni the only bright spot with 10 points and 6 rebounds - respectable off the bench. Let's see if Chicago can bounce back with their next game against the Clippers.

Notables.
-Chicago
Ben Gordon, 28 pts, 3 reb, 1 ast, 1 stl
Ben Wallace, 10 pts, 13 reb, 1 ast, 1 blk
Kirk Hinrich, 10 pts, 3 reb, 13 ast
Luol Deng, 16 pts, 3 reb, 5 ast, 1 stl
Tyrus Thomas, 14 pts, 9 reb, 1 ast, 1 blk

-Milwaukee
Michael Redd, 35 pts, 3 reb, 1 stl
Charlie Bell, 17 pts, 1 reb, 2 ast, 1 stl
Mo Williams, 12 pts, 1 reb, 11 ast, 1 stl
Charlie Villanueva, 12 pts, 8 reb, 4 ast, 1 stl
Lynn Greer, 12 pts, 1 reb, 5 ast, 2 stl

Re: ~A Chi-Town Dynasty~

Weekly Wrap Up.
Well Chicago comes out of it's first week 2-1, a heart breaking loss to Milwaukee killed their 3-0 start which looked like it was very possible half way through that game. The team has played well for the most part, ball movement has been key in getting the open looks, as well as ball screens that have freed Hinrich up for some impressive numbers through the first few games. This weeks "Player of the Team" goes to Luol Deng - his leadership on the court will become very important for the rest of the year. The team is only going to go as far as him and Hinrich will take them, but the team has fallen back more on Deng already through 3 games, and we think it will stay like that for the rest of the year.

Player Averages. (Through 3 Games)
Luol Deng, 21 pts, 7 reb, 4 ast, 1 stl, 54%FG, 86%FT
Kirk Hinrich, 18 pts, 3 reb, 12 ast, 1.7 stl, 49%FG, 64%3PT, 82%FT
Ben Gordon, 15.7 pts, 1.3 reb, .7 ast, 1.3 stl, 39%FG, 45%3PT, 100%FT
Tyrus Thomas, 13 pts, 8.3 reb, 1 ast, .7 stl, 1 blk, 51%FG, 100%FT
Andres Nocioni, 12.3 pts, 6 reb, 1.7 stl, 45%FG, 60%3PT, 67%FT
Ben Wallace, 11.7 pts, 10 reb, 2.3 ast, 2 stl, 1.3 blk, 68%FG, 50%FT
Thabo Sefolosha, 5.7 pts, 1 reb, 58%FG, 67%3PT, 50%FT
Chris Duhon, 5.3 pts, 1 reb, 3 ast, 58%FG, 25%3PT, 100%FT
Joakim Noah, 5 pts, 3 reb, 1 ast, 1.3 blk, 50%FG, 100%FT
Joe Smith, 4.7 pts, 3 reb, 71%FG, 100%FT

Clippers @ Bulls

Starting Lineups.
-Chicago
PG:Kirk Hinrich
SG:Ben Gordon
SF:Luol Deng
PF:Tyrus Thomas
C:Ben Wallace

Clippers
PG:Sam Cassell
SG:Cuttino Mobley
SF:Cory Maggette
PF:Elton Brand
C:Chris Kaman

Preview.
The Bulls will host the Clippers as they return to the United Center after a dissapointing loss to drop them to 2-1 on the season. Chicago is looking to bounce back strong and prove that their defense can shut down a well rounded expierenced team in the Clippers. Ben Gordon is comming off the best game of his season with 28 against the Bucks, and we are thinking that he will have another good game. Luol has been solid all season and is quickly becomming an All-Star. The biggest concern for Chicago will be the Clippers low post play, Brand and Kaman are looking to do work on Chicago, it should be an interesting game.

Results. Bulls 136, Clippers 130 (3OT)
What a thriller it was tonight in Chicago. Chicago has a nice display of their defense in the first half, and the Clippers show why experience and having vets on the team pay off. The Bulls had held the Clippers to 38 points at halftime, but then let them rally in the fourth to score 41, the only reason the game was able to go into overtime was because Ben Gordon was able to free himself and drill a buzzer beating midrange jumpshot. The first overtime was a back and forth battle, both teams giving it their all. Kirk Hinrich had a chance to seal the victory with 4.4 seconds on the clock at the free throw line, but was only able to hit 1-2, his only free throw miss of the game. That left the door open for Cassell who hit the buzzer beating 3 to send it into a second overtime. Chicago's Ben Wallace is dying out there, and Noah comes in and sparks the tired Bulls, grabed 3 rebounds and had a key block on Elton Brand to keep the game tied and sent into a third overtime. Ben Gordon led the Bulls in the last overtime hitting some open looks, Hinrich sealed it by hitting 6 straight free throws. A thriller it was, but this win does more for Chicago than most teams wanted it to, they have now experienced the game a close game on the line, 4 times in one night.

Notables.

-Chicago
Ben Gordon, 35 pts, 4 reb, 3 ast, 2 stl
Kirk Hinrich, 30 pts, 4 reb, 15 ast, 5 stl, 6 to, 12/13 FT
Luol Deng, 24 pts, 9 reb, 4 ast, 1 stl, 2 blk
Ben Wallace, 12 pts, 11 reb, 2 ast, 2 stl, 2 blk
Tyrus Thomas, 9 pts, 8 reb, 3 ast, 2 stl, 4 blk

-Clippers
Elton Brand, 35 pts, 14 reb, 2 ast, 1 stl, 1 blk, 5 to
Sam Cassell, 27 pts, 5 reb, 15 ast, 1 stl, 4 to
Cuttino Mobley, 24 pts, 6 reb, 5 ast, 3 stl, 1 blk
Chris Kaman, 22 pts, 15 reb, 1 ast, 2 stl, 2 blk
Cory Maggette, 10 pts, 9 reb, 4 ast, 1 stl, 3 to

Yeah I have been playing on All-Star.

Default sliders for the most part with a few exceptions.
-Fouls are up to 75 for both teams - might raise it a little more.
-I moved the clutch rating down to 35 for both teams to try to kill come back wins. This might have to be moved down a little more.

I probably should have messed with sliders before I started, but so far it hasn't killed the experience for me so I'll just run with it.

---------
Big Ben has been one of my most realiable players so far. Very surprising how well he has been in pick and roll situations, 90% of his points have been off dunks/alley oops because Hinrich has drawn defenders.

Might have another game posted up later tonight.
