Bought a PS5 Disc bundle from GameStop in early February for $735. After trading in the games, it was basically $600 which was fine. Happy I own it and don't have to keep looking for it as that was a pain.

Same. Was following some of those Twitter accounts that announce inventory when it would go live. Probably about 2 months before release. Checking out online took about 40 minutes though.

For the PS5, I got tired of the wait, caved, and just got one last month at 700.00 via one of the vendors on newegg.com. It works great, and I'm extremely happy with it and it's a match made in heaven with my new Sony OLED tv. With that console for getting one at retail was just luck I didn't have.

Today, though...got totally lucky and scored a Series X on walmart.com at retail so I feel a little vindicated LOL.

Yes, I did get a launch PS5 from Best Buy, lucked out woke up at 3am got on the website, added it in my cart and had to click checkout like 100x and then it went through.
