Re: Gaming Monitor discussion

Just a update. I fiddled around with the setting more today and I found a setting called HDR Vivid and all I can say is WOW. Tries The Show and Madden 18 and I’m blown away. I guess the HDR EFFECT mode is for when a game does not have HDR.

The monitor is definitely worth its weight and gold.

Re: Gaming Monitor discussion

Only difference I can tell is between the vivid and effect. HDR Effect look like the saturation level was increased pretty high. Out of all of them, I personally like the look of the HDR cinema. But I am sure they all look different in person compared to a phone camera.

Re: Gaming Monitor discussion

Hdr effect is only available for non hdr content, so that's likely why it looks a little saturated.

For hdr content, there is vivid, standard, game, and cinema. Personally I thought standard had the best colors, but the response time isnt set to "fast" like it is for the other three and you can notice a bit of input lag.

Gaming Monitor discussion

I’ll be going back in today for a price adjustment. $100 off is a helluva deal for this monitor. It’s $130 cheaper than last years model and this one has HDR.
