I see they don't teach metaphors where you went to school.

He isn't kicking a K ball.

That was impressive though as he would have cleared it from 70 yards. He has the power, but kickers can go from great to nobodies in 1 season.

Please enlighten me as to what metaphor you were going for here.

It's impressive, but is he not kicking off of a flat tee?

No, he's not. It's straight turf.

It's impressive, yes, and you can't take anything from him. But high school balls are bigger than NFL balls so you can get a lot more of it than you do in the NFL. That's why I thought it was hilarious that people started commenting on the video "Oh, Aussie Rules players do this all the time from further". There balls are made to go further as well.

Give Janikowksi a High School/Aussie Rules Ball and no one will touch the kicking records once he's done.

Is this kicker accurate, though? Kicking a ball 67 yards is nice and all, but if you can't make a 40-yard field goal half the time, then that's a bit of a problem.

No, he uses a 1" white tee. There's an interview of him floating around on one of the Spokane stations talking about kicking it off a tee.

I believe he is now 9-16 on the year. He was 7-14 on the year with kicks of 52 and 56 yards made. Not sure if he missed any in that game though.
