Week 6 Discussion

No ranked games tonight, but Houston*@ Memphis could be fun. Based on their stats neither team really seems to play any defense.

We do have an exciting Saturday lined up though. That noon kickoff is going to be busy with so many great games.

Ranked Matchups (all times eastern)
#8 Tennessee @ #25 LSU (12pm)
#17 TCU @ #19 Kansas (12pm)
#11 Utah @ #18 UCLA (3:30 PM)

We also have a few other big rivalry and other interesting games
Texas @ Oklahoma (12pm) - Red River Shootout is always fun
Auburn @ Georgia (3:30pm) - "Deep Souths Oldest Rivalry"; does Georgia right the ship after a couple of subpar performances?
Arkansas @ #23 Miss State (12pm) - This would be a top 25 matchup if Arkansas didn't just play Alabama.
Texas A&M @ #1 Alabama (8pm) - I've been looking forward to this one all summer

Georgia-Auburn in October instead of November just feels weird to me.

yeah I hate it. I get why auburn wanted it moved, but this game should be played on a cold November night. Coincidentally the new schedule works better for an interesting sec east matchup at the end of the year since Kentucky and auburn have switched places not only on the schedule but also in terms of quality. I do t expect Auburn to be down forever though. Hoping that the new expanded SEC forces this game to get moved back again.

Re: Week 6 Discussion

Would have to look up how strict offside rules are on kickoffs, but one of the Houston guys was on the 35 yard line before the kicker made contact...and then of course, as I always wonder, why isn't the kicker offside when his left foot goes past the 35 prior to kicking it?

Things quickly going south for LSU

Miss State is marching right through Arkansas

Hold missed in the Tex/OU game on a big play, but it may not matter if he stepped out.

Re: Week 6 Discussion

Terrible spot in the LSU game. Definitely looked like he got it.

What the h** are you doing if you're LSU there though? It's only the first quarter, you're going for it 4th & 4 when you can make make an easy field goal to make it 10-3?

Re: Week 6 Discussion

Kansas is only down 10-3 at halftime, they fumbled on the 1 and then TCU went 99 yards for a TD. Daniels looks like he pulled a Bryce Young though and landed on his right shoulder
