Didn't expect to see Baylor put it on them like that

Ucla really took the Zags legs, they looked slower than usual out there. Baylor took advantage made them play defense for majority of shot clock and out hustled them and forced them to play from behind from open.

I think the Zags win in a seven-game series, but Baylor brought it last night and Gonzaga didn't.

I don't know man.. Obv the Zags would execute more often than not, but Baylors athleticsm is an advantage that wouldn't go away.

No chance Few would repeat the mistake of taking Timme off the block again though. That just killed them on the boards.

They needed Kispert last night. He didn't answer the bell.

Yup that's it right there. He hasn't the last 2 games. When he's shooting well. They are unstoppable. He even had one of the worst turnovers towards the end there.

Re: The Official 2021 "Running Commentary of Every Single Game" Thread

Baylor was just way more physical then Gonzaga. And it really made the Zags uncomfortable. Baylor killed Gonzaga on the boards. Turned them over. Limited Gonzaga to tougher shots, and it threw them for a loop. They made a perfect team look rather ordinary. Now maybe on another night Gonzaga is hitting and has Baylor backpedaling , but I don't know Baylor was more then ready. I believe the best team won.

Gonzaga looked rather beatable in that UCLA matchup. And really could have been. That quest for perfection has to be a real weight on your shoulders the farther you go. Not to mention the odds become more and more stacked against you.

Reminds me of Kentucky in 2015. They survived a few scares. Especially against Notre Dame. And eventually their luck ran out. If they lost a game in the season and learned from that there's no doubt in my mind they win it all. But they hadn't experienced real adversity and it bit them in the ***. Anyway I'm rambling.

I don't want to take anything away from Baylor because the Bears played fantastic. They went out and won the title.

Less than 48 hours after that OT thriller and Gonzaga looked gassed to me. If it's a seven-game series, the Zags get some time to recover from the Game 1 loss and regroup.
