2017-18 College Basketball Season Predictions and Look Ahead

It's been a busy time since UNC cut down the nets after a foul fest championship game in April.

UNC was found to have treated their student athletes equitable to the regular student body. The FBI decided to put their hands in the college basketball cookie jar and a Hall of Fame coach passed a lie detector test as proven by his lawyers!

All of this while exciting for a HBO drama series has left this season in a little bit of a cloud. What else will come out and how will affect this season? I'm sure anyone that bet on Arizona to win the National Title is a little bit nervous so we shall see.

So changing gears to stuff back on the court, what is happening this year and what has changed?

We have our usual early season tournaments in addition to the Phil Knight Invitational near the end of the month. The ACC/ Big 10 challenge will be at the beginning of the December with the SEC/Big 12 challenge after that.

We don't have a 24 Hour Tip Off Marathon anymore but there is still the Champions Classic on Tuesday night with Duke/Michigan State and Kansas/Kentucky.

The Big 10 Tournament will be at the world's most famous arena this year meaning that their regular season will wrap up a week earlier than usual. Also Big 10 games can be found on Fox Sports this year as part of a new media deal.

It will be interesting to see who gets the most bids to the NCAA tournament at the end of the year and who is considered the best league.

There isn't as much talk about the ACC being the best basketball league of all time this year.
