Ugh. We'll take Minnesota, though.
Please, PLEASE pound East Dakota into the ground!

UNCG at Syracuse in the first round of the NIT. Hilarious after Boeheim's salty comments against Greensboro.

That's an understatement. Advanced metrics (BPI, KenPom, Sagarin) have them ranked among the best 15 teams in the country... they deserved, at the worst, a 6 seed. Just shows how flawed RPI is (thankfully the committee is starting to lighten up to these advanced metrics).

Xavier's Big East tournament win over Butler saved their tourney chances. If not for that win, they probably would've been left out and Syracuse would likely have taken their place.

Re: 2017 Selection Sunday Thread

I think it's time that the selection committee stop trying to seed teams where it places them in a local arena but just seed a team 1-68.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

I agree with keeping the top seeds closer to home in the 1st weekend but it shouldn't matter when we get to the 2nd weekend. The NCAA tournament doesn't struggle to sell Sweet 16/Elite 8 tickets. They struggle to sell tickets during the 1st weekend.
