Man this is ugly so far, so early, to be expected. But Kentucky has the drive tendency on 100 right now and the refs have fouls for everything at 1000.

Marcus Lee is underrated. Impressed.

Re: 11/8-11/10 Game Discussion Thread

Indiana beats Chicago St. 100-72. Didn't get to see the game since it wasn't on tv, but it looks like the refs were whistle happy as Chicago St was called for 36 fouls that lead to 55 free throw attempts for IU. I have to believe that total was because of the new foul rules.

Also, strange to see a team only make one 3 point field goal and score a 100 points, but that's what IU did tonight.

I was listening to the Marquette post game show on my way home from work. I guess they beat Southern University. The thing that caught my ear was Marquette scored 63 total points and shot 53 free throws!

These new foul rules could make games into 3 hour free throw shooting contests.

Sounding alot like the refs controlled most of the games tonight, hope this isn't a new trend, but it really slowed down play in the first half in the Kentucky game.

Refs kept the hammer down on the new hand checking rule. Points of Emphasis for them I guess.

I guess if you're only counting towards the end of the Howland era it can't be worse, but I think there is a 0% chance Alford takes them to the heights Howland did early on.

Alford sucks as a tournament coach.

Re: 11/8-11/10 Game Discussion Thread

could somebody enlighten me on the new foul rules, I keep hearing the announcers talk about it but I'm not familiar with all the changes.

Thanks
