I'm bummed Juwan didn't get another year. Losing Dickinson sucked, and not getting the other transfers sucked even more, then heart surgery, I get this was a bad year for Michigan, but damn, he won a conference championship and back to back sweet sixteens, was national coach of the year not long ago, too many variables to not get another year

but it's "what have you done for me lately", and even though he continued to be a great campus figure and was highly regarded and well liked, it was a bad year for wins, so he's gone. Bleh


edit: even look at Kansas though, they got Dickinson and were preseason #1, they lost 8 conference games anyway

The college basketball we knew is dead now. It's ridiculous how many guys are transferring to new programs.

Totally agree, I think I saw the other day 1,900 players are in the portal right now. That is honestly insane.

Also I dont get how the NCAA allows players that are 23-24 to still play basketball. I understand we had COVID in 2020 that messed everything up but I think this is totally unfair.

We're doing OK in the portal - that Knecht guy turned out pretty well. And we've brought in a couple of nice players for this coming season, with a couple more possibly coming. But I'm not really a fan of the complete roster turnover. Always preferred watching a guy like Grant Williams develop over 2-3 years. But it is what it is.

Was looking forward to Awaka taking another step with Tennessee next season, but he's going to Arizona. Looks like Aidoo is going to Arkansas.

I think the 2024-25 season should be the last season of the "Covid Seniors", minus medical redshirts.

Very glad we got Jonas today but I actually thought he was going to Baylor, everyone was reporting that.

The portal closes in 2 days so it will get interesting for sure.

Pope's been busy for sure. Some really solid additions. This team will definitely be better defensively.
