Tell your boys to get to the finals at MSG next week please. I've seen the Tigers kill UK before, would like to get the UConn scalp next.

Well Marquette just had a huge loss with Trevor Mbakwe being lost for the season.

There's no way we get that far, this team is still going to be a mess this year.

Yea but I think we were going to see a lot of 3 guard looks even if Marcus was still here.

Just saw this on ESPN.

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/news/story?id=3098727

All teams will now play in the BE tourny which will be extended for an extra day.

16 teams: Teams seeded ninth through 16th will meet on the first day. The four winners will advance to play seeds 5 through 8. The top four seeded teams will still receive a bye to the quarterfinals, where they will meet the winners of the second day's games.

I think thats good for the conference, lets all the student athletes go to NY and we get to see more bball.

We would, because Marcus didn't do anything productive while he was on the court. At least MJ was a decent defender, I don't like the idea of Dyson having to guard Big East wings, plus that means Austrie or Price has to guard the other teams' 2-guard. Austrie guarding Reynolds or Devendorf, now there's a scary thought.

Re: '07-'08 Big East Thread

Notre Dame should finish higher then 9th and I don't understand how Kurz was left of the Honorable Mention list.

They only lost Falls and Carter from last years team, I believe, and they get Pothead McAlarney back. Harangody should be better and Ayers and Hillesland should be good enough at the 3 spot, at least they have length anyway. I'm curious if Luke Zeller will ever have a adequate season, he reminds me of Sam Perkins when he got old or Terry Mills with the Pistons, just loves jacking up 3's which doesn't work when you're the only big on the court for your team.
