Re: Pistol Power- The Coaching Career of Zarek Stryker

Neither have I, which is why I jumped on the chance to sign him. I mean, he has great potential and a strong arm, so I may be able to turn him into something. If nothing else, I can easily use him as trade bait.

It is a daunting task. But I believe it to be worth it. I won't have the data on the college coaches, unfortunately, but will be able to know who are the best at each coaching position who's currently coaching. That will make it easier to determine who to go after.

And...I just finished up the game against the Chiefs. It was a blowout. The game summary is going up shortly.

Game Notes
Both teams enter the contest in the midst of a 6-game winning streak. This game could very well determine the winner of the division as only one can walk away with a victory. The Colts, led by Peyton Manning, hold the most proficient offense in the NFL this season, while the Titans, led by Keith Bulluck, hold one of the more proficient defenses.

Colts Key to the Game: Play your game. The Colts control their own destiny as they are the favorites to win this game. Look for Manning to attack the middle of the field and expose the Titans cornerbacks on the edges.

Titans Key to the Game: Control the clock. If the Titans can be efficient on third down and pick up first downs in long, sustained drives, they can keep Manning off the field and steal a victory. Rice, Young, and Buckingham will have to keep the chains moving, and Vince will need to take advantage of the Colts apperant weakness at corner.

In other news, the Titans have agreed to contract extensions with several players on their roster. These include:
QB JaMarcus Russell: 2 year, $620K
RT David Stewart: 6 year, $27.74 million with a $5 million signing bonus
K Rob Bironas: 3 year, $7.2 million with a $1 million signing bonus
LG Carl Pepper: 3 year, $1.5 million
OLB Robert James: 2 year, $1.5 million
RG Jeb Terry: 3 year, $1.46 million with a $500k incentive for starting 16 games

Re: Pistol Power- The Coaching Career of Zarek Stryker

Just a quick little note here that I find interesting:
If I've learned one thing these past few games, it's that this Titans squad can really control the time of possession. This was even before we started getting a running game. And, I've learned that field goals from either hashmark are an almost impossibility to make, no matter who the kicker is. Anyway, the Colts game is almost over. 7 minutes to go in the 4th quarter, and it's been a hell of a game. Can't wait for y'all to see the outcome.

Game Notes
Veteran quarterback Daunte Culpepper leads a struggling Packers team into Lincoln Financial Field to take on the undefeated Titans. Green Bay has been struggling on defense all year, especially stopping the pass as teams are averaging 474 yards a game against them. Rookie Brian Brohm and Aaron Rodgers are both waiting in the wings for the Packers, though neither has been given the green light to take over yet.

For the Titans, they are riding a hot streak coming off a huge win last week over division rival Indianapolis 10-9. Their defense held the Colts in check all game, bending bu not breaking as Manning tried to lead the team down the field. Neither offense could score, as the only touchdown for Tennessee came off a DeSean Jackson kickoff return for a touchdown. If the Titans can control the line of scrimmage again and keep the ball away from Green Bay, like they've been doing all year, they will continue their winning streak.
