Super Bowl:

Bucs win the Super Bowl 16-10 over the Patriots.

Staff Promotions-Jets promote OC Jimmy Raye, Steelers promote DC John Mitchell.

Staff Retirements-HC Rod Marinelli-Lions, GM Alan David-Raiders, OC Chan Gailey-Chiefs, QBC Dick Curl-Chiefs, GM Karl Potts-Chiefs, DC Dick Lebeau-Steelers, Trainer Ryan King-Falcons, RBC Tony Nathan-49ers, LBC Billy Davis-Cardinals, HC John Harbaugh-Ravens, HC Romeo Crennel-Browns, DLC Keith Millard-Raiders, Trainer Steve Parker-Ravens, DC Greg Blache-Redskins, LBC Jim Hermann-Jets, HC Ken Wisenhunt-Cardinals.

Notable Coaching Changes:

Gary Hammermill-Detroit HC
Mike Singletary-Jets HC
Rex Ryan-Cardinals HC
Clancy Pendegradt-Browns HC
Eric Mangini-Raiders HC
Chris Staymates-Packers STC
WRC Clyde Christiansen-Jaguars WRC. I tried to get him, but the Jaguars outbid me.
Pepper Johnson-Bucs DLC.

My coaching changes

All my new coaches can go to 4 Performance except my STC and QBC. I kept GM Ross because they're weren't any good GMs available. I missed out on Clyde Christiansen as my WRC; I just couldn't surrender enough control. I'll try again next year. Here's the new members pf my coaching staff and how they develop:

OC Jim Caldwell-48-Playcall only goes to 4, the rest to 5. TE development only goes to 3, the rest to 4 or 5. Special Skills-QB Readiness, Improved QB reads, and Game Film Analysis.

DC Ron Rivera-51-Team Chemistry only goes to 3, the rest to 5. Weak on physical development skills, the rest go to 5. Special Skills-Ambition, Improved Block Shedding, and Speed Training.

QBC Paul Hackett-30-Will look to replace next year if I can. Performance only goes to 3. Physical development goes to 5, the others to 4. No special skills

RBC Lorenzo Westbrook-Performance goes to 4, but others cap at 2. Decent development. SS-Improved Carrying

WRC Mike Tice-49-Playcall only goes to 2, the rest to 4 or 5. Performance goes to 4. All development go to at least 4. SS-Receiver Discipline

OLC Tim Cobble-35-All go to 4, except Playcall. All development go to 4 or 5. No SS.

LBC Mike Katkavage-40-All regular skills go to 5 except Strategy. Development goes to 4 or 5. SS-Already has Ambition, so specials are cheaper. Starts with Strength Training. You can expect him to leave in a couple years though.

DBC Dan White-17-Performance goes to 5. Strategy goes to 3, the rest to 4. Average in development. No SS. Position coaches that develop to 5 Performance are rare, so a keeper.

DLC Jim Tomsula 17-A real diamond in the rough. Skills mostly at 1 for now. Performance goes to 4, the others to 4 or 5. All development skills go to 5. No SS.

Trainer Robert Wyman-Skills maxed at 5. SS-Off-season Rehab.

Offseason period:

Signings- TE Tony Gonzalez, HB Fred Taylor, and HB Chester Taylor.
Cuts-WR Joe Horn

18 Day Period is next.

Re: A Falcons Dynasty-Change in Atlanta

18 Day Countdown and FA Period

I'll list where the major FA and where they ended up this time around. I'll also reveal some of the information on potential draftees, since I've already done a Balanced breakdown of this draft.

Franchise Tag-Ravens-ROLB Terrell Suggs, Bears-RolB Lance Briggs, Patriots-SS Rodney Harrison. That's twice in a row the Bears have franchised Briggs. The last time they did that, he re-fused to re-sign with them and entered FA after 2009.

RFA-TE Quinn Sypniewski-Level 2 Tender. He's not on my roster after the draft, so I'll check later what team he ended up with.

Draft Information:

Spoiler

FA with 89 + Overall:

P Shane Lechler-93 Overall-Age 32, RG Randy Thomas-91 Overall-Age 32, C Nick Hardwick-91 Overall-Age 26, DT Tommy Harris-90 Overall-Age 23, RT Jon Jansen-90 Overall-Age 32, Marques Colston (RFA)-89 Overall-Age 25, SS Kerry Rhodes-89 Overall-Age 26.

FA Period:

Tommy Harris signed a 5 yr, 46.0 million deal with the Lions with a 13 million signing bonus.

Saints didn't find anyone willing to give up a 1st and 3rd for Colston, so both agreed on a 1 year, 2.6 million dollar deal.

RG Randy Thomas agreed to a 2 year, 12.5 million dollar deal with the Browns with a 3.5 million SB.

SS Kerry Rhodes agreed to a 5 year, 29.0 million dollar deal with the Texans, 7 million SB.

RT Jon Jansen will anchor the NY Giants line with a 2 year, 12.5 million dollar deal, 3.5 million SB.

C Nick Hardwick signed a 5 year, 34.0 million dollar deal with the Bengals, 5 million SB.

My FA moves:

I signed P Shane Lechler to a 2 year, 4.0 million dollar deal, 500K bonus.

Traded WR Roddie White to the Raiders for their 2 (34) pick.

Traded CB Ty Law to the Jaguars for their 5 (114) and 7(211) picks.

Traded HB Fred Taylor to the Bucs for their 4 (128) pick.

Traded HB Chester Taylor to the Titans for their 3 (90) pick.

Traded WR Kevin Robinson to the Dolphins for their 6 (181) and 7 (203) pick.

I received 3 Draft goals:

Draft a sleeper

Don't draft a bust

Trade up for a higher pick.

Re: A Falcons Dynasty-Change in Atlanta

Remainder of 2009 Draft and UFA

2-34-I drafted RG Scott Burke

2-43-QB Noah Wyoming

2-52-LOLB-San Jose State

3-75-CB-Wyoming

3-84-WR-Ohio State

3-90-WR-Tennessee State

3-91-Traded RT John Weiner, 6 (181) and 7(211)-drafted RT-North Texas.

4-128-C-Michigan

5-141-CB-Minnesota

5-148-FS-New Hampshire

7-203-FS-Oklahoma

Undrafted:

WR-Midwestern State
WR-North Carolina
MLB-VMI
ROLB-Iowa
HB-Richmond

My main SS target was gone on the 2nd day, so I drafted 2 FS and will move 1 to SS. I was surprised Scott Burke slipped to the 2nd round. I drafted Wyoming to see how he does running the option plays.

Training Camp is next.
