Please no. This was a sweet KO, but GGG destroys Stevens.

You're right, but Stevens has earned the right to get KOed by GGG.

Well Golden Boy Live is going to be pretty active, with 24 events planned in a year's span starting August 17th.

Will this channel be similar to PPV or the other sports channels mentioned?

Fox 1 will replace the SPEED channel on August 17th. They will air a variety of sports including Major League baseball starting in 2014. SPEED is not part of any sports package I have to pay for (Cox Cable), but I don't know if that changes upon the August 17th launch.

The boxing will be on Monday nights, debuting two days after the channel launch (August 19th).

Re: Boxing Off-Topic

And August 19th happens to be this Monday Night.

On another note Daniel Geale defends his IBF middleweight title against Darren Barker tonight. The fight is in Jersey, Geale is from Australia, and Barker's from the UK. Geale is trying to gain US fans for bigger paydays. Good luck with that. Barker gave Sergio Martinez a good fight a couple of years ago.

I'm liking the Geale-Barker matchup but I'm more interested in the Nathan Cleverly-Sergey Kovalev fight for Cleverly's WBO light heavyweight belt. Kovalez is a killer puncher, but remains only a slight favorite in this fight. Even Cleverly admits he'll have to weather the early storm. Besides a technical draw Kovalez has KOed 19 of 21 opponents, 18 of them in three rounds or less.

By the way, Clevery-Kovalez will be shown on tape delay. The fight is in England. Both bouts will air on HBO.

Re: Boxing Off-Topic

Dominate performance by Kovalez. Cleverly couldn't counter, mostly tried to rope a dope without the ropes. He had his gloves up most of the fight but Kovalez punched through and around them. Easy KO.

Re: Boxing Off-Topic

LOL, I might have been the only one at OS to see the fight. Although Barker-Geale wasn't as great as Lampley and crew was making it to be, it was an action packed fight which had a great moment when Geale unleashed a perfect left hook to the liver that paralyzed Barker. Barker somehow survived the round and got the split decision. I though he won pretty handily.
