SUn and video games. Apples and dougnuts.

Madden has name recognition in the fact that averge Joe Gamer, will buy the game no matter what, because it's Madden. The game defines the genre, like few other video games do.

2k doesn't have a title that does the same. Hell basketball video game sales aren't even close to football game video game sales are they? A lot more people buy football games than basketball games Especially with the decline in popularity of the NBA.

Agreed. Or for me, since I am text game nut and like game depth. I'll just play FOF and BBCF this fall.

When Madden 06 dropped and stunk it up, and there was no new 2k game, I simply didn't play football games.

APFB2k8 lacks that, like it does what should be common place features like a dynasty mode. There is no way they can justify charging $60 for this game if they want to have any hope of turning a profit.

Well there is that too. Adding that exclusive license to what is already a title synonymous with the very genre itself makes APF2k8 an awful tough sell at a 60 dollar price, imo.At least to the non hardcore crowd.

thats true, which is why i feel the biggest chance we will get it for $49.99 or less will be for marketing reasons. not missing features.
