The 10th Year Anniversary Edition of MLB 15: The Show is only $10 more than the standard edition, yet claims to bring over $130 worth of extra value. This sounds like a deal which is too good to be true, so does it deliver on its promise of adding extra value?

The following suggestions are my own, following a pretty strong brainstorming session and watching the first couple of days of real-life NFL free agency happen in early March 2015.

Here are my top ideas, in no particular order..

With Draft Day Sports: Pro Basketball 4, Wolverine Studios is attempting to build upon years of crafting text-based sports simulation games. This edition sees a renewed focus on the user interface, enhanced stat tracking including advanced metrics, and a more robust game engine for the head coach in all of us. DDS:PB4 is the most value-packed basketball simulation from Wolverine Studios yet, but it is not without some major issues.

If you've spent a significant amount of time playing this year's edition of Madden, then you have no doubt noticed that the CPU takes an inordinate amount of sacks in the game. Slider makers have spent all year trying to tame the problem and EA Sports released a tuner back in September to try and mitigate the issue. EA had good intentions with the tuner, but unfortunately it didn't do very much to resolve the issue.

Madden NFL 15 may have released in August, but many gamers are getting it as a present for the holidays or perhaps taking advantage of a great sale price. With the NFL playoffs right on the horizon, many gamers who have had the game for a while are also firing it back up. Either way, Madden 15 is the best edition we've gotten in years and there is a lot to do in the game. It's with all of that in mind, that Operation Sports lists The Five Coolest Things to Try in Madden NFL 15.

Sports gamers have a variety of ways to receive roster in 2014. Going forward into 2015 and beyond, there is a debate over what kind of delivery method is preferred by the community. In this piece, we'll take a look at using rosters generated by companies like Synergy and SportVu versus the method that is tried and true: manual handmade edits. Let's look at the debate.

Poll Results from this morning of users still having server related issues in NBA 2K15.

With the release of NBA 2K15, the team at 2K Sports and Visual Concepts promised a much improved experience when connecting online. After NBA 2K14 suffered with connectivity issues throughout most of the game's life cycle, we were told that 2K's top engineers had spent the entire NBA 2K15 development cycle working on network infrastructure. What has been delivered, at least so far, is nothing short of a disaster.

Attempts to connect to the 2K servers and to other users have been met with nothing but frustration through the first two weeks of the game's release. While the experience has been fraught with frustration, it has slowly began to improve over the last week.

However, major issues still persist.

With Madden NFL 15 only a couple of months away, and E3 in the rear view mirror, let's look ahead at the who will be the most exciting teams to use come August 26th! As you read this list, understand that this is Madden specific, and not any kind of prediction or opinion about any of the real-life NFL franchises or teams.

Success in Madden has traditionally come down to highly rated players at skill positions on offense and defense. In Madden NFL, the game has often felt like both the offensive and defensive lines were afterthoughts. This is especially true with interior linemen, who existed only to field an authentic number of players on the field. Quarterback has been the most important key to success for a long time in Madden, with running back, and wide receiver/tight end rounding out the “must have” positions. Let's hope that all of the talk about the defensive side of the ball actually comes to fruition this year.

I recently had a chance to do a pretty thorough Q & A with Eric Kneipfer, the mind behind and creator of Dynasty Football, which hopes to follow in the footsteps of such great PC simulation games as Out of the Park Baseball, Front Office Football, and Football Manager. It's with this vision, and a passion for sports and indie gaming, that Eric comes to Operation Sports to tell us about the game. Read on to find out the details!

Below are my thoughts, written as a stream of consciousness in real time as I played MLB: The Show 14 on Playstation 4. This was my first time playing a Sony baseball game since the Playstation 2. So the following thoughts are those of a newcomer to the series that's so widely acclaimed.

Day One: Very impressed with some aspects, but a little bit let down by others. Pulse pitching took some time getting used to, but now I really like it. Batting and pitching practice actually help a lot. In some games, practice modes are worthless but not here. I struggled initially with hitting as well, and I'm still not crushing the ball, but I'm getting better. Can't figure out base running yet. I just want the lead runner to advance! I'm on veteran difficulty by the way, with experienced controls.

March Madness may be in the rear view mirror, but a game has been recently released that deserves the attention of all hoop heads. Draft Day Sports: College Basketball 3 (DDS: CB3) builds upon the foundation of the previous two entries in the DDS: CB series and promises a completely rebuilt UI and new features such as international recruits, rating enhancements, new recruiting tactics and expanded historical features. There is also a promotion/relegation option in the game. The real question however: Is the game worth buying?

When I sat down to research and write this article for Operation Sports, I faced a dilemma. I wanted to make this list as comprehensive as any top five list could be, but I've never had the chance to play any iteration of MLB: The Show on PS3. So how does anyone pick only five games from the rich history of video game baseball AND leave out the best console baseball game of the last generation? Well, for me it became about games that I remember loving, and games that are still remembered fondly by my fellow sports gamers. Have a look at my top five greatest console baseball games, The Show excluded, and let me know what you think.
