Here's the thing with 3pts. If I say shoot 10-30 or 33%, when you break that down into 2 pt buckets, I would need 15 to get 30pts, or I would have to shoot 50% to make the same amount of points. That is why people shoot them.

I have no problem with the abundance of three's being taken. The 3 creates good floor spacing, and aids in opening up the game a bit more.
Its'a also a beautiful artform, when the shots are ebing taken by true shooters.
Players' like Josh Smith, shouldnt be takinng 3's.

I fire them up in nba 2k more and more I build my teams around this skill. Shoot more 3's opens up the court more and you can feed it in to your big men. It's like having a good run and pass game in the NFL.
