I actually hate the "offensive explosion" because it means a couple things: terrible defenses, terrible tackling, terrible fundamentals, and the rules are stacked to favor the Offense far too much.

I miss the big hits, even the clean ones are flagged.

Hate it!!!!! And the NFL has set it up perfectly for sOFtFENSE ...nothing but a sofT game now.....and on top of that, I don't call defensive backs, DBs anymore....I call them DAs!!!! *******es !!!! They are definitely the dumbest players on the field!!! There are only like 3 that play actual defense, turn their head and play the ball!!!

They need to allow the defensive backs to bump more down the field without being flagged for pass interference. I agree with the hard hits but they need to give something back to the defense. It just turns into a basketball game. Any team can score under 2 minutes no problem now. It use to be special when someone made a comeback.

I dont like it. The game has been nerfed because of the new rules and fines against hits. You just dont see people flying to the ball like you use to because of it.

I agree with the comments here.
I keep hearing how they want to favor the offense for more high scoring "What the fans want to see".
What about all the fans who like defense?
The NFL used to be very open to how you build your team. Now its copy cat city if you dont build around one guy(QB) or have a decent QB you lose.It may be safer, by very small amount. But now when you watch on Sunday you see so many missed tackles cause everyone is afraid to get that penalty and worse you get fined for it.

It's garbage. If they wanted to increase scoring, change the friggin' field. I'm all for player safety. Those rules are OK. Of course, the players that have traditionally been the hardest hit long term have been defenders and running backs. Yet, we have these rules to protect quarterbacks and receivers... Really? Now, defenders don't know how to hit. I totally agree - allow more contact against receivers. If the QBs break the pocket, they should be fair game. Not HOLDING. That's different. But let good physicality mean something. How is it fun to see offenses walk up and down the field ONLY because the defenders can't touch anyone? All these records being broke are meaningless. It's all bull****.
