NCAA Teams in NHL23

Any thought that with NIL going live on July 1st in many states that EA would look to add NCAA Schools to it's NHL Game? I'd love a stand alone game of NCAA Hockey similar to NCAA Football with recruiting and the tie-ins to the NHL, but doubt that would happen. Thoughts?

Well since EA never "gives" anything I think they might add the frozen four teams to test the waters. But of course you won't be able to actually "play" the frozen four just use the teams in play now. Seems like a long shot I would expect basketball and maybe baseball would be first.

Can't wait to see them add the Gophers and butcher their "gold" like they do for Nashville in their current games. Their "golds" already look highlighter yellow, wonder how insanely bright actual highlighter yellow (maize) Michigan would look lol?

This would be cool I hope it happens in NHL 23 and NHL 2K23 (just my own personal pie in the sky addition LOL)

I don't think there's enough money to be made from a stand alone game, but adding an NCAA League in the game is a possibility. They already have the AHL and most of the minor leagues. There are only 60 Division I teams so it shouldn't be that hard to get the license to most if not all. Also, the top two picks in this years draft are projected to be from NCAA hockey so that can only help.

They can’t even get the NHL game right. NCAA would just add to their confusion.
