FIFA DB Master - Alternative db editor

FIFA DB Master can read NHL roster when .db is converted console format to pc. Converting is able to do with myfifa2005 DB Converter. Also localization databases where the team names etc are stored is able to convert to DB Master.
Usage:
-Convert the original db and xml using myfifa2005-fifa-db-convert.jar
-Read the converted xml and db using DB Master

Re: FIFA DB Master - Alternative db editor

While some things (such as team information and player names) are obvious, some things are confusing (i.e. Mike Modano's height is listed as 21... which has nothing to do with 6'3", with his state being listed as 37, his weight as 55 and his year drafted as 29. What does this all mean?)

Re: FIFA DB Master - Alternative db editor

If I make changes using this, can I get them back into the game some way?

Playing NHL Legacy on PC with RPCS3.

...

Ok, I think I've got the hang of this now.

1. Make sure the save is unencrypted (an RPCS3 save can be used as is).
2. Export the db from SYSDATA using NHL DB patcher v1.2.
3. Use DB converter to convert the file from PS3 to PC format.
4. Open the DB file using the XML for NHL Legacy.
5. Export all tables to CSV
6. I will try converting and editing the csv AI files with my statistics based attribute tools.
7. Import edited csvs to tables
8. Save changes to DB file
9. Use DB converter to convert the file from PC to PS3 format.
10. Import the db to SYSDATA using NHL DB patcher v1.2.
11. Make sure the save is encrypted (an RPCS3 save can be used as is).

Re: FIFA DB Master - Alternative db editor

I've verified this now by blanking off awareness and def awareness to 0 (36 ingame) for all players using excel then importing back. It worked. Now I can convert my tools if I want to edit the excel files. Pretty powerful stuff for roster updates. It does involve a lot of manual steps as you see above, I wish I didn't need all of them.

Edit: I seem to be getting random freezes in the menu now so perhaps it wasn't as flawless as I thought.

Have you been able to get strings updated in-game?

I've converted the nhl_eng_us.db file using DB Converter, renamed all instances of Anaheim Ducks (and the variations of) with DB Master, but after converting back with DB Converter and replacing the file, it still shows Anaheim Ducks everywhere.

If you use the latest update for Legacy there are nhl_eng_us.db in the update container and the game will read that file instead of the file in fe/loc folder. What you should do:
1) Disable the update.
2) Extract the latest loc db from update and place it to fe/loc folder and set loc db hash to 0 in patch.big:

I'm confused again now. Does my step by step guide above miss a hashing step?

Re: FIFA DB Master - Alternative db editor

I am editing an NHL 10 database, and I have a question:

What are all the country IDs? I'm asking because one of the players in a mod I am working on is from Serbia.
