Re: Post Scriptum

Some internal testing game play video. That charge at 1:30 was EPIC

Re: Post Scriptum

It uses the Squad engine so it should be pretty darn realistic but with a slower pacing.

Re: Post Scriptum

I played for about an hour last night. Joining a random server, solo, I managed to get into a full Section with an active and knowledgeable SL.

I died a handful of times and maybe got 3 kills in that hour. But holy hell was that the most intense, immersive hour of a game I've ever played. The game certainly needs optimization etc, but it is just FUN.

Literally feels like playing a WWII movie. Something I've not experienced in any other game, ever.

Definitely recommend.

Game is a lot of fun, even better with a good hard charging squad leader. Ive never had so many memorable moments in such a short while. Between Squad, Arma3, PS and Rising storm 2 this is the greatest time for PC war games right now.

Exactly, we also have Hell Let Loose and Battlefield V right around the corner too.

RS2 is super fun and I always enjoy the gameplay but I grow annoyed with how often strikes are coming in. It's exciting from a game perspective but becomes ear rape after an hour.

I think it's why I gravitated towards the more mild pacing shooters like, PUBG or Squad. Moments of planning mixed with plenty of dull running, only for explosive collisions to dynamically occur. I think PS will fall perfectly in that zone.

Now comes the next problem, how do we find time for all these awesome war games!

Re: Post Scriptum

As a big Rising Storm and Insurgency fan, PS takes the cake as far as realism goes. I love the way those games play as far gunplay, but they're still spawn, run, die; rinse and repeat. I'm not a Squad vet (wish I'd gotten into it before!) so those who are, you know how it is already.

Like you said, the memorable moments are there. And unlike any other game, they're more prevalent in both in quality and quantity.

I'm really looking forward to when the casuals start heading out and the majority of matches are people who know how to andand want to play PS the right way, with the type of teamwork required to be successful. Sure, some things are still quirky, it is still a game after all, but the realism is top-notch.

I've played almost all weekend long and have had an absolute blast. Been making sure to get into active Sections with good SL's.

All that said, these matches are exhausting, but in a good way. I can't imagine how mentally drained SL's feel after an hour long battle or so.
