Too many Double plays?

Hi guys, I am asking for your help/experience with Double plays in MLB the show. I seem to have an issue were I am always hitting into a crazy amount of Double plays. I have tried to change my approach, hit and run more. It just seems when I have runners on, Great contact, great timing, it is so often right at a fielder. Am I doing something wrong? Does anyone else have this issue? Or is maybe the game just built this way?

I even made some trades to improve team speed, that helps, but still seems very disproportionate?

Example

I was second in the MLB in Team Batting Avg, 12th in Homeruns, but somehow end up 25-46th in runs. All because of the double plays, gets frustrating.

what do you consider a "crazy amount" ? You can turn the fielding error sliders up to 10. It won't cause a whole bunch of errors, but it will open the chance for fumbles, and fielder throws that aren't right on the mark. Otherwise, that's baseball. It all can't be swayed your way.

if you're not dead last by a big margin, it may not necessarily be disproportionate.
having said that though, there's nothing wrong with looking for tips trying to reduce GIDP even if you're in the top 10 of fewest GIDP. I hope to see a few tips here. sometimes I feel like Cal Ripken when it comes to grounding into them.

I am last, not sure by how much, i'd have to boot up the game again to see. It's not even just DP's really. Runners on base no out, first guy crushes the ball, right at a fielder for a line drive out,then next hitter makes hard contact, right at someone, DP lol. Seems to happen a lot to me, maybe I am just unlucky.

Please note these stats are from '16:

Last year, the last season I play, I finished in the Top 12 in fewest double plays hit into. The year completed prior to that I believe I was like 20th or so. Now this year thru 2 months, I'm sitting 28th in double plays hit into, 8 less than the last ranked Padres.

I've seen other discuss the fact that they believe there are too many DP's in the game, but I haven't experienced that in my time with the game.

Curious, for those who are statistically ranked towards the bottom of the league in double plays grounded into, are you playing every game? Or are you simming games?

Personally I play every game.

After my last game that went 15 innings and I grounded into 3 double plays, I have now hit into 48 double plays thru 61 games.
