Week 14: Detroit Lions (7-5) @ Philadelphia Eagles (7-5)

The 3rd best game of the week. I would really like the Lions to be the first team to cause Nick Foles to throw a pick. It's been rough for us in the turnover department the last five games (-11) but we are still 3-2 in those games somehow. Gotta keep the ball in our hands this week or we likely won't be able to pull out another win. Need a big game from the defense like last week.

Should be a good barometer for these two teams fighting for a playoff spot. If the Lions win the next two and the Packers and Bears both lose once, they'll clinch the division.

Philly stepped up in a big game last weekend versus the Cards. They may have finally evolved into a legitimate contender and threat in the NFC. A good test for both teams.

Gotta ride the hot hand of Foles in a toss-up.

Eagles winning 3 Home games in a row is it possible?

I'm going to take the Lions in this one. As good as Foles is playing I think this is the game where he slips up against a pretty good Detroit front 4; if Suh and Fairley collapse the pocket from inside I believe he'll throw his First Interception of the season.

Going to be nasty and cold tomorrow. Snow or freezing rain predicted around kickoff. Temperature around freezing, likely well below if there's any wind.

Could be a crazy one tomorrow, with expected snowfall until 2 than sleet and rain. I wonder how Detroit will play outside a dome and how well Foles can hold up? Eagles normally are descent in cold weather.

It's unbelievable that Detroit doesn't have the North wrapped up. Take away their miracle win vs Dallas and they're a half game ahead of GB, who hasnt won in 5 games since Rodgers went down. Heck, a Detroit loss here and GB win against Atlanta in Lambeau and GB is right there.

Blast from the past!

As for the game, I think Philly is finally hitting their stride.

...I'm not excited about the prospects of this game but hopefully the front four can really get after Peyton Foles.
