Made my own ratings calculator

I made this with Excel 2003. It's something I've been working on on and off for months now.

It has an automatic ratings calculator with a pull down list of players, just select the player you want and it will bring up his stats for 09, 10, and 11 and calculate his in game ratings. There is also a manual calculator where you can input the stats yourself, and you can enter up to three years if you want.

This will show ratings for individual years, 3 years avg., and 3 years weighted to the latest year.

This is only for position players and only covers contact (L, R), power (L,R), vision, discipline, and clutch.

Re: Made my own ratings calculator

No, I haven't really tested these out for a significant amount of time in game yet. I have played like one game with two edited teams and it seemed to play well, but I haven't played through and entire season or anything like that. I did notice though that a lot of players are underrated in power and contact in Sony's roster.

I wasn't really planning on it but I might look into it. I would need to try to figure out what stats to use for each and how to calculate the ratings from them. It would just take a lot of work inputting the extra stats into the databases. There are a lot of players in there.

What do you think about the results, do HR's seem too high? Also which ratings did you use, 3 year average or weighted or?

Re: Made my own ratings calculator

Why won't SCEA release to the gaming community its formulas for ratings so that folks like you can create software to allow for easy rostering creation and editing?
