On Top Spin 4, does the AI cheat on Very Hard mode?

I think so. So I decided to step up and play on Very Hard in Career mode. I got tired of winning 6-Love all the time. Wow, the gap between the two difficulties is way too big. No matter how hard my returns are, the cheating AI will somehow always catch up. I can't even play serve and volley since you can't get the right shots once you rach the net. Drop shots are useless in this game since the ball always wounds up bouncing too high, giving the AI enough time to smash it back. It's even worse when you're thoroughly getting beat by some fake player named "Luis Julio" who is a sub-2- level player. What am I doing wrong here? I've done what I did right on Hard mode.

When it's either too easy or too hard, it's just frustrating. This is the type of **** that can give you rage and you just want to throw your controller at the TV.

Yep it's built in cheating. I hate the way they set that up. Including making players go into goat mode at the semifinals & finals of grandslams. I remember the 1st time I played a grand slam semi against Novak. I was convinced I was going to the finals because I had just beaten him in the finals of Madrid 6-2, 6-3. I actually thought my game was malfunctioning because he was a totally different player in the French Open semifinals. He returned everything perfect, got to everyone of my shots. ALWAYS turned defense into offense and made zero unforced errors. I restarted the game thinking it must have over heated or something. Lol But of course, no change. Top Spin 4 is the best tennis game we have but even it has tons of issues!
