MLBTS 24 cloud gaming advice?
I have a free year of Game Pass Ultimate for PC and as such, I can get MLBTS 24 streaming to my PC via Xbox Game Pass. I have tried this. It is not too terribly bad. I still own a PS5 and that is what I have been playing The Show on for years. I do not have an Xbox One Series X either.
So, I have 3 different kick butt computers, I do professional video editing fulltime so all 3 are pretty robust...one being a laptop. I have ATT Fiber 1Gigabit up and down. The game overall looks decent but the biggest issue is latency. I am connected via gigabit ethernet to my router so WIFI is not part of the equation. It is very minor but in a game like baseball, reflexes, especially on batting are essential. I am just a little late on all pitches. Hitting is super frustrating. I was able to adjust to pitch timing good enough....basically training the brain to press the button earlier than I should to make up for the latency. But the speed of the pitch meter is consistent whereas when I am batting, the pitches are coming in at different speeds of course.
Anybody else playing like this? I really don't want to have to buy it on PS5 this year and also, it would be pretty cool to take my franchise with me to work and when I travel. Even if I can't play I can manage my franchise remotely. I am thinking it's going to be impossible to get it to play decent via the cloud without this latency....I mean, that's just part of cloud gaming.
Any advice? Thanks in advance.
