Re: ~~Blood in the Water (Reboot)~~ The Story of the San Jose Sharks...

COYOTES crush SHARKS 8-2!

RECAP 3/9/20

Glendale, AZ- The arrival of Blackhawks Icon Jonathan Toews last year in a Trade has done wonders for the Arizona Coyotes(37-22-10).

Toews has made an impact and the Coyotes are in Third Place in the Pacific Division and look to make the Playoffs after their 8-2 blowout Victory over the San Jose Sharks(39-21-9) Monday Night inside the Arizona Arena.

"I thought that was by far our worst performance this year as a Team. We got simply outplayed and they got our attention very fast. They really just pushed us around." Sharks Head Coach Peter DeBoer stated.

And Arizona did get the Stanley Cup Champions attention very fast indeed. 4 Goals in the First 10 Minutes.

"Allowing that many that fast just sunk us from the start. No excuse. We have to be much better." DeBoer added.

Josh Fisher(31), Vinnie Hinostroza(14), Antem Ansimov(9), and Jonathan Toews(24) got the Coyotes(37-22-10) up 4-0 on the Stanley Cup Champions.

Rookie Goalie Derek Wade(24-13-9) has really stepped up in between the pipes for Arizona while Veteran Netminder Antti Raanta(13-9-1) is on the bench.

"A performance like that against the defending Champions is absolutely amazing to see. I thought that was by far our best performance this year." Coyotes Head Coach Rick Toccochet stated.

With Arizona up 4-0, the Sharks(39-21-9) got on the board off Jay Beagle's 10th Goal of the year.

Then Toews scored again. (25). His Second of the nght. Joe Pavelski's 32nd Goal made it 5-2 until the Third Period.

As Martin Jones(23-18-7) struggled bad against the Coyotes allowing 8 Goals and managed 36 Saves.

Joey Backstrom came in in the final 5 minutes turning away 7 straight shots with Arizona up 8-2 thanks to Josh Fisher(32) and Brad Richardson(2).

San Jose(39-21-9) will head back to the SAP Center and host the St. Louis Blues(38-21-12) on Friday Night.

The Blues are chasing the Wild for the Central Division lead just 2 points behind.
