Me personally, as a Broncos fan, find truth in the initial statement.
The argument can be made in two ways, he didn't have a consistent QB getting him the ball, failed to take the next step when given the opportunity.
Guy had it rough. Like I said, never really had a QB to get that ball in his hands, but when they did he seemed to drop it a lot. Sure, he had some great, highlight reel catches, but never really stood out. Was the again cause of the QB? Or was it that he checked himself out during games, sometimes showing little to no effort at times.
He mouthed off to Steve Smith, over some truthful words. Saying goes, the truth hurts sometimes. For me, just shows immaturity.
In the end, let the Browns pay him what they think he is worth. I'm glad Denver got the little return for him that they got, and can move on. Jerry never took over games, or carried the team. So much blame can be spread around.
