If the game feels full and the world feels more alive, I think that's the next step that a game like this needs to take. More rendered and open interiors. More things to interact with. They can make the map bigger, but that's not the only improvement that's really necessary.
I went back and watched the GTA V trailer and you can see how stark the difference is; it felt pretty flat and sparse compared to the insanity of the GTA VI trailer. Obviously they'll lean into the social media influences. We'll see what else.
Completely off topic and I may have mentioned this before, but your avatar is by far my favorite ever.
