Tovarich: Frustrating ending, but I guess I'm proud we almost overcame the refs and all the other bizarre things that kept happening.
Reporter: Would you like to have gotten a technical?
Tovarich: Yeah, that would have been great, but it seems like you can't 17-2 FT's and 13-1 fouls was laughable. We weren't allowed to breathe on them.
Reporter: Why go to Krleski at the end for the 3 instead of Tyson?
Tovarich: Neither were shooting well. Krleski was more open. Not surprised whoever bricked the 3. It's the part where we got the rebound and missing a point blank layup. It all just felt predictable.
Reporter: How big was their 16-0 run in the 2nd half?
Tovarich: Amazing how we clawed back from 13 down and then the instant we took the lead, it's like they turned into an NBA team all of a sudden and we couldn't score for 12 possessions in a row. I'd love to ask their coach how they just decide to play like that and why they don't do it every game. You'd think they'd be a lot better than 5-14 with that power.
Reporter: This would have put you 3 games ahead of them in the race to avoid being the lone team left out of the conference tournament. Is it that much more frustrating?
Tovarich: We get them at home at the end, so we have some winnable games still. If we'd gotten this one, I'd say one more and we're safe to stay out of last. Now I feel like we need 3 more.
Studbucket: Any possible good big men in recruiting or are you just going to end up acquiring warm bodies?
Tovarich: We've gone overseas trying to find some big guys. Having little luck with much. I have a feeling I may end up saving some scholarship and waiting for next year to use them. We're in good shape on one recruit and ok shape on another if he doesn't go to High Point, but it's rough gathering interest from much of anyone. Going to have to work on my recruiting skills in the offseason.
