Re: ~~Blood in the Water (Reboot)~~ The Story of the San Jose Sharks...

KINGS beat SHARKS 3-1 in home opener...

RECAP

Los Angeles, CA- Jonathan Quick turned away 38 shots, Anze Kopitar, Drew Doughty, and Ilya Kovalchuk all scored as the Los Angeles Kings(1-0) beat the San Jose Sharks(0-2) Friday Night 3-1 inside the Staples Center.

Kings Goalie Jonathan Quick showed once again why he's one of the best in the Game as he denied 38 shots by the Sharks.

San Jose(0-2) continues to struggle as Evander Kane is the only Shark to score Goals in the first 2 Games.

His hat trick on opening night against the Anaheim Ducks wasn't enough as the Sharks lost on home ice.

"We're just not off to a good start. We're not scoring goals and when you don't score you lose. We have to get out of this little funk." Sharks Captain Joe Pavelski said.

The Sharks attacked the Kings zone but Jonathan Quick denied 38 shots after allowing a Evander Kane Goal that cut the deficit 2-1 in favor of the Kings to start the second period.

"He's one of the best between the pipes. You're not gonna beat him very often." Sharks Head Coach Pete Deboer said.

The Kings-Sharks rivalry took another bloody turn from the opening puck drop as the clubs dropped gloves right off the bat.

"We don't like them. We have to much history with them and we don't like them." Kings Defenseman Drew Doughty stated.

His slapshot in the first period put the Kings up 1-0 as Martin Jones struggled against the Kings attack.

"Yeah we're Pacific rivals and there's history between the two of us but San Jose is a very good Hockey Team. We'll enjoy the win tonight but we can't overlook them as the Season goes on." Kings Captain Dustin Brown stated.
