SHARKS kick off road trip with a heated bout against KINGS...

LOS ANGELES- After a 8-4 loss on Opening Night Wednesday to the Anaheim Ducks, The San Jose Sharks are kicking off a 5 Game road trip with a stop in the City of Angels against another Pacific Division Rival, the Los Angeles Kings.
And the two Hockey clubs have brutal history.
"We don't like each other. It's that simple." Kings Defenseman Drew Doughty stated.
Drew is no stranger to voicing his opinions. The Pacific Rivals have bad blood.
Los Angeles beat San Jose in Game 7 back in the 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Who could forget the 2014 Playoffs when the Sharks blew a 3-0 Series lead and allowed L.A to come back and win Game 7.
And the Kings trash talked their whole way through San Jose.
But San Jose did get a little payback in the 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs where the Sharks beat the Kings in 5 Games exercising the demons enroute to the Franchise's first appearence in the Stanley Cup.
But tonight the two will write another chapter in their rivalry. Joe Pavelski, Joe Thornton, Tomas Hertl, Logan Couture and the list goes on will look to upset the Kings.
But the Kings have star talent from those epic clashes in the Playoffs with San Jose, Jonathan Quick, Dustin Brown, Drew Doughty, Anze Kopitar, the list goes on.
It looks to be another epic Sharks-Kings clash when the puck drops inside the Staples Center.
