And it coincides with DrJones's latest post about how the current system allows execs to put a positive spin on a terrible season. "We were above .500!".
According to the current standard, only 6 teams were under .500 last season. Wow!
But there were 11 teams with less than 41 wins (and 2 with 41 exactly).
So one could make a case that only 17 teams were above .500 last season.
But that doesn't help sell tickets and it doesn't help the suits keep their jobs.
