I first witnessed this when I made my first trip to New York. I would laugh because I basically got honked at if I didn't floor the gas pedal a split second before the light turned green

Most times I notice it at the initial signup screen, there will be some asterisk with some text in italics saying the typical "at end of blah blah blah a standard fee of $ will be charged" kinda deal.
