I have actually seen this before, although not with a QB, it's only been with my RB, this has happened in play now games as well as MUT (against the CPU)

Definitely pretty cool to see though.

After thinking a bit more about this, when using the different passing options in Madden, and that included "classic" it makes absolutely no difference if there's any meter...

How do you know this? On Madden you can turn off the meters and yet you still have control on the types of trajectories you want...unless noted otherwise I'm sure it will be the same here.

Nope, if I do decide to get the game it will be for the X, but I would say it ultimately comes down to where your friends are playing and controller preference.
