It's being reported by Ornstein, who is basically just a mouthpiece for the club.

They are just making it up, they have plenty of money. If freaking EVERTON can drop 120m in a single summer then surely Arsenal can too.

Didn't Ornstein say they had £150m to spend at the start of the window?

He did. Then they spent some money, the board decided that was enough, and so now Ornstein is saying they are broke.

Re: The Transfer Thread

Classifying Ornstein is the club's mouthpiece is a bit too harsh on him. He definitely receives official word from the club, but doesn't seem to report lots of the other nonsense that is clearly planted as a PR initiative and fed to journalists.

It's very clear the club has money to make any deals that they wish to make. So, it's either the board, or it's Arsene. My guess is that it's a bit of both.

Re: The Transfer Thread

I guarantee you it's the board.

Arsene might be done as a top level manager, but he isn't stupid. He's not going to be like "yeah go ahead and sell off all our center backs now that we need 3 of them every game".

Re: The Transfer Thread

I see we still are blaming everyone and everything but Arsene.

Good, I hope it stays that way and they continue to be what they are

Rofl

What world are you living in where Arsene doesn't get ALL of the blame?

That's the problem really, everyone assumes every single problem at Arsenal begins and ends with Wenger. He is definitely the reason for their results on the pitch, but several of their major issues have very little to do with him.

In order, the anger I see is directed at:

1. Wenger
2. The Board
3. Spurs
4. The Players
5. Adebayor
