Huh? How is the coach putting himself ahead of the team?

Manziel is a train wreck probably in danger of getting cut. If someone (in any profession) has substance abuse issues (even of the legal, alcohol variety) and agree to rehab in an effort to regain/gain trust from their employer, getting caught twice in a matter of months out boozing is pretty much a death sentence.

Because where are you going with McCown? What useful information do you gain from games started by him? Manziel has shown flashes of life this year and it's best for the franchise to see what they have in him.

From jump, Pettine has had this bizarre obsession with punishing Manziel. This is an ego decision, not a smart decision.

Re: NFL Off Topic

Peter King article on the officiating last night.

Also an "insider" from bleacher report says that 3 head coaches in the league called last night an abomination and wants to see drastic changes such as suspensions and fines for bad officiating. There's a clear feeling right now that Dean Blandino has lost control and that a majority of coaches want his head on a platter.

NFL Off Topic

Pettine's past handling of Manziel have nothing to do with today's events. Even if this current situation is another chance for him to flex his muscle, it's justified because of Menziel's actions post-rehab.

Please, please, please. I'm tired of Blandino and his BS explanations following what are obvious bad calls decisions by his officials. Here is a funny little nugget. They guy who had Blandino's job before him, is now a head linesman. He couldn't even rate as head official anymore.

I know its not all Blandino's fault, but heavy is the head that wears the crown. He keeps cashing checks as the head of officiating, so it fall on him at the end of the day.

So glad we're talking about Johnny Manziel again instead of JJ Watt's overrated, overexposed ***.
