WWE RAW & Smackdown August Thread
 

The Road to Las Vegas begins tonight in front of a sold out crowd in Chicago, IL. Smackdown will be back in Florida at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, FL this week. RAW tonight is going to be interesting, given the news over the weekend, a certain Chicago Wrestler returning in some form, and how smarky of a crowd Chicago is, will make the show compelling TV.

On tap for RAW tonight:

- - Goldberg returns to RAW to confront Bobby Lashley. MVP should make sure someone else signs a contract for Summerslam before Goldberg up and signs the contract himself and pulls a Cena. I'm wondering if the crowd is going to boo Goldberg or cheer him.

- Nikki A.S.H vs Charlotte Flair in a No Holds Barred Match

- Matt Riddle takes on Omos in singles action.

Too late, reports on Twitter saying at the start of the Main Event tapings fans are already chanting CM Punk. On top of that, they are selling Fiend T-shirts as well.

The Chicago fans don't know whether to cheer or boo Goldberg. They chant his name but boo him when he talks about the taking the title.

Ah.... there it is. "We Want Wyatt" chants are starting and they stopped lol.

How much are chants being piped in?
During McIntyres entrance you could flat out hear a big pop followed by Michael Cole talking about John Cena. So they piped in cheers from an actual episode of Smackdown and didnt even remove the commentary.

The crowd to me either is being drowned out by WWE or they just are terrible for Chicago. They start chants but then they quickly die out, so either WWE is turning the mics off or the crowd forgot how to take over a show. They were late on the "We Want Wyatt" chants when Alexa was on screen and only did it after she said her lines.
